ICON The Illustration Conference

ICON The Illustration Conference is the only non-profit dedicated to illustration and the people who live and breathe it.

Since their initial gathering in 1999, ICON has only existed as an in-person event held every other year. Behind-the-scenes, however, a 3-person staff and a board of 20+ volunteers work year-round to plan, budget, organize, and execute each conference. 

To build awareness, attract volunteers and sponsors, and promote attendance between events, the ICON staff decided to create a permanent web presence for the organization. The site establishes ICON The Illustration Conference as a champion for professional illustrators—defining the organization’s mission, and describing the conference as a forum for advancing the craft and the industry.
