Why do it?

Why build a home in just over four days -- during the worst rain in a hundred years? Because when you consider the benefits, you can't not do it. This was more than a moment for Weyerhaeuser to shine. It was more than fifteen minutes of fame for Pardee Homes. This was a chance to put a philosophy into practice. An opportunity to roll up our sleeves and bare our way of thinking -- about ourselves, each other, our communities and even the world around us. It was a chance for a company to have a hand in something bigger than the forest products business. And ultimately, it was a chance for that hand to reach out and touch eleven lives for good.
